創(chuàng)作背景

該詩(shī)歌的作者普拉西德·卡波（Placide Cappeau）（1880-1887）是個(gè)葡萄酒商，同時(shí)也是個(gè)詩(shī)人。他在一位教區(qū)神父的請(qǐng)求下寫了這首詩(shī)歌。

翻譯

一神論牧師約翰·沙利文·德懷特，《德懷特音樂報(bào)》的創(chuàng)立者，在1955年將其翻譯為英文。
